When I turn the oven on it starts to warm but shortly shuts off and flashes EO in the digital screen.

  • Anonymous Aug 13, 2011

Hello, Would you happen to know the make and the model number of the unit? With the model number I am able to give a more specific solution and there are also many different ovens with many different reasons for each on the EO error code. Did you also happen to see an F code as well either before or after the EO error code. Also try unplugging the unit for 7 minutes this usually allows the control to be able to reset. And message me back with your results after you unplug or turn off the electrical breaker on the unit. I await your reply Thanks Rick

Sounds like an error code. your oven ignitor may have gone bad. thats what tells your oven to send gas or power to the oven and turns it on... have that checked. i hope this helps

My oven is always flashing PF what does that mean

"PF" stands for Power Failure. There should be a reset procedure in your user's manual. I cannot specify this since you don't give the manufacturer or model number of your oven.

WHEN MY WHIRLPOOL BUILT IN OVEN MODEL RBS305PRS00 IS BAKING IT SOMETIMES CUT OFF AND YOU HEAR A CLICKING NOISE AND IT WILL DISPLAY EO F3.I CAN TURN THE OVEN OFF AND IT WILL BEEP AND DISPLAY EO F3.AFTE

That's an oven sensor error. Replace the oven sensor. If you still have the error, check the wiring and/or replace the timer/clock board.

Good luck!

I have a new Whirlpool Built-in electric wall oven. I just installed it. The read out says EO F2. What does that mean?

EO-F2 means shorted touchpad.

Try pressing the CANCEL button to see if this clears it otherwise you will need a replacement touchpad.

EO F2 on our Kenmore oven keeps coming up.

The "F2 - E0" error code means "Shorted keypad".

Remove power from the range, open the control panel and unplug the membrane switch ribbon from the control board.Reconnect power to the range and observe for an hour.If the error code reappear - replace the control board. If not - replace the membrane switch.
