Hello,
The F3-E4 error code means that the oven sensor tempature probe has shorted out and it needs to be replaced. This link http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/whirlpool-oven-sensor-item-number-ap4099532.aspx shows you what the sensor looks like.It in back wall of the oven cavity usually in the upper left side. To check to see if it indeed shorted, unplug it from where it plugs into in the back panel and use a ohm meter and look for a IF GOOD ohms value of 1060-1100 ohms IF it test at ZERO ohmhs or from 1-500 ohms the sensor is going to be shorted and needs to be replaced. It will only be considered good if at room temp is 1060-1100 plus/minus 40ohms

Read out says E4 F3 what does this mean?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3-E4 in your range means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
