SOURCE: GE Front Load Washer

Removing the lower front panel (3 screws nearest floor), and opening the round, white water pump filter cap (be ready to catch about 2 gallons of water!) is the best place to start. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a large, flat pan (deep turkey tray works well)!

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE what I found in my filter housing this morning (see photo below)!

The washer is working fine now, although I may go back and remove the entire water pump so it can be dismantled, thoroughly cleaned, and reinstalled.

Hello rschneeweis
Welcome,

Sounds like a seal or drain hose is leaking or the clamp on a hose has vibrated loose.

Water leaking out the bottom of the machine when washing machine begins agitation cycle. If the machine is turned off the water stops leaking even with the tub full of water.

Let me know if you found it and how you do.

Check the hose that connects to the bottom of the tub to the drain hose. Make sure that hose is securely fastened.

Washer leaks from bottom

you can open the front panel of washer and see if water is coming from the pump located to the right very close to the front of the machine. if the leak is coming from there is an easy fix. you may have a loose drain hose. If the leak is coming from the center of the drum, is a bad news, center chaft seal is bad, if this is the case, it's not worth it to deal with it.

Wash machine is leaking in the very midle of the bottom

The water pump is probably leaking at the shaft bearing. You need to remove the front panel (or the cabinet if it is formed without a joint at the corners) to see the pump. Once you get the cabinet open it is not difficult to replace the pump.

My GE dishwasher is leaking water from the bottom of the machine

first check to make sure door gasket is ok, if bad, replace and test. Make sure to remove bottom front panel during a test and inspect the motor and motor gaskets. It may be leaking here, replace leaking components as needed.
