Your LCD or Control Board is damaged. You can replace the LCD or the Board or have someone do it for you.

The display strip is not properly seated in the connector base. That is a hardware problem so dont think of a software error.

It is unfortunate that the bottom half of the laptop screen is black. You may try performing an LCD BIST using the below link:

Also try connecting an external known good monitor and check if that helps.

Not worth repairing. The Light engine is bad. All DLP sets have this problem and that's why they are no longer being made.

You have a bad connection to the panel or bad caps on the boards. Not something for the DIY'er. High voltages in plasma sets.

intermittent loss of picture on either bottom or top half of screen is specific to y buffer boards located on left side of screen going from top to bottom when looking at back of tv. the y lower buffer would be the board to replace to resolve the loss of bottom half of picture. if the top half also is going out intermittently could tied to upper buffer as well but just a note the y main board to right of these buffers drives those two boards so in some cases could also be part of the problem. if only bottom half is affected i would recommend replacing lower buffer only

your lcd screen was damged, this is seams to be a manufacture defect so call the manufacturer and ask him to replace if it is warrenty or otherwise throw it away, here after that is like a broken glass

replace the main board inside the set.
