There is absolutely no power to my Amana bottom freezer refrigerator. This happened very suddenly and had no built up ice. I have checked circuit breakers several times, but I am unable to move appliance by myself to check outlet. From what I can see, the plug is attached to the outlet. What do you suggest?

A lot of times in the kitchen is a GFCI type outlet that has the reset button right on the outlet, its usually somewhere around the countertop or island but usually not behing the ref. see if you can find the outlet with buttons between the two taps and push the reset button,in some cases depending on your house was wired when built it also may be in a bathroom

2002 amana bottom freezer full of frost took food out turned off freezer now what ? ice maker never installed !

Is the thermostat set too high? Does it ever turn off?

It could be the door seals, check to see if intact, if so, could need cleaning so they seat properly.

Finally, should there be draw covers, which have been removed?

The ice maker on my Amana stopped working suddenly. The arm is in the down position. Why isn't it producing ice?

Check the plug in the back of the freezer to be sure it hasn't become dislodged by something. Let me know how this is, I may have another answer if that doesn't work, aside from replacing what only all the sudden stopped working. You will usually have some notice, i.e. smaller cubes, etc if it's about to fail

I have an amana br22 the botom freezer gets an ice block on the radiator coils then air flow slows down to top section i have to hot air gun the freezer to get the air to start moving

The ice block is due to a defrost circuit failure. Typical problems are due to the defrost heater, defrost timer if used on this model and defrost thermostat. Since you are using a heat gun to melt the ice, check the the defrost heater with a meter to determine whether it needs to be replaced.

Amana ARB9058CS Bottom Freezer - tremendous frost build-up in freezer on left side near ice maker at top of drawer

  1. I am not expert but this exact same thing happened to me - same model of fridge. The line which brings water in is frozen. I don't know how to solve it permanently, but if you take out the two produce drawers you can see where the water comes through. Put a hair dryer blowing on it for a few minutes and it will get it going again.

Refrigirator not working

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not defrosting as it should.
  • possible causes:
  1. bad defrost timer
  2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
  3. bad thermo switch in freezer
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above items.
if you already checked this and think it is a different problem then let me know, i will help you figure it out.
