I got the old 407291 software version on my machine and would like to upgrade my firmware, but LG says : Contact your dealer --- Please help

A 200e that locks up usually need a memory and a firmware upgrade. The original 200's only have 32mb of internal memory. The upgraded mini print board that is used in the 730 has 64mb of memory. This 64mb board was used in the 200 as a upgrade and this stopped the lock up problem. Also over the years Bernina has improved the firmware and this also cures the lock up problem. The latest and probably last firmware version for the 200e is version 5, also called the cutwork version. The easiest thing for you to do would be to take your 200 to a dealer and have them install a 64mb mini print board and also upgrade your machines firmware to the latest version 5. Also if you have loaded embroidery designs in your machine, remove them as they use up the machines memory. When you get too many designs loaded even if you have a 64 MB board in your machine you can still have lockup problems.

There are many versions of Casiovision software. The CV version depends upon your country. If you use the wrong version, you could damage the program. You have to match the IPL firmware in your machine to the software. For this reason, it is controlled by dealers. All you need to do is contact a local dealer and ask them for it. Most dealers will give it to you at no cost. They may charge you for training and this is reasonable because the machines that connect to CV33 are complicated POS terminals.
Most machines can be programmed and used without CV software so it is not essential to programming or operating your machine. You can program them via the keyboard on the terminal as long as you have the manual. If you need the programming manual, most Casio manuals are at C-tech:

Ask the dealer for the disk. If they don't give it to you, try the version 2.
As long as it isn't an upgrade from the old version, you shouldn't have a problem.
The read/write card should have come with the machine. Contact the dealer.

You can download any available ODD (Optical Disc Drive) updates from http://us.lgservice.com. Click Product Support, click Optical, choose your model number from the list, and click go. Click the Drivers & Software tab. Download the latest version posted (highest number).

The firmware for all recent drives works with Windows. Before running the update, make sure the drive is empty. Close as many programs running the background as you can. Run the downloaded executable file to start the update. Some will automatically start updating the dive and some will require you to push "Upgrade" or "Start". If the firmware doesn't see the drive it was designed for, it will not install.

WARNING: Never update the firmware if the problem you're having is the drive isn't seen by windows, won't write with the included software, or other interface related problems. Unless the firmware specifically states it fixes the problem you are having, firmware updates normally don't fix these types of problems. Trying to update the firmware when there are interface problems can damage the drive's firmware. An error when updating the firmware is usually caused by a problem with the drive interface or there is more than one drive connected to that IDE channel.

IMPORTANT: do not interfere with the drive during the firmware update. If an error occurs during the upgrade process, or the upgrade process is cancelled during this process, damage to the drive can occur. I have many years of repairing Canon scanners and here is my suggestion to you.

You can also get them on the US site also, I will include the link for the drivers in this response. The problem your going to have is that to upgrade your firmware you need a piece of software to upgrade the firmware on your scanner. That piece of software is only released to canon dealers and its also used for diagnostic's of your scanner and to make adjustments to your scanner. I would contact your local Canon dealer, and ask what they would charge you if they came out to do this service for you, or what would they charge you if you brought the scanner to them to cut down on the cost of this very simple update. It only takes a couple of minutes to upgrade your firmware on your scanner. Below is the link to Canon's website for the files you need. I hope this helps you out.

Contact your LG dealer for a service engineer, the software version currently in the TV may need updating, there is an update available for picture freeze problems.

To get the Firmware/Software version of the unit try the following steps:
1.Select TV Aspect from the Setup Menu.
2.Highlight the 16:9 Option
3.Type in the code 1397139.
4.The System Information Screen will appear.
From this screen ask the customer to read
the current Firmware/Software version of the
unit.

Once we have all the product information we will be sending you a firmware upgrade, that will solve the issue that your unit has. I replied to the E-mail and now awaiting the arrivial of a disc with the firmware upgrade. Hope this gives you a starting please.

LG mobile uk, have now released the newest firmware for KP500 Cookie V10d, BUT with also the Flash Loader Utility Programme that has stopped many of us upgrading the mobile, I have waited 6 months!!! But as of yesterday I was able to finally install new firmware. Follow the instructions, installing software PHONE SOFTWARE UPDATE then when you install it will take you through each step and install flash programme and drivers, once these are install it will ask you to take out your battery and connect the mobile to usb and pc, this will load the flash loader with success. Then remove usb pop battery back in connect mobile with connectivity PC Suite and away you go, it took about 25 mins and i am with Vista. Hope this helps so many. Since the LG combo platform doesnt suppourt many HD features if you are thinking about buying new Blu-ray player (since the format war is over) I would go with the PS3 - best value for the price, is already set up for adavnaced features such as internet connectivity (with auto software updates), even if you dont use the game features.
