How to thread a model 928 serger from JC Penney? I bought it at a yard sale without a Manuel and it isn't sewing correctly

Usually, there is a thread guide (picture of how to thread it) on the inside flap when you open it. You can also search online for the manual. Be sure to spell it "manual". Good luck!

I bought a singer 478 at a garage sale for $5....I cannot figure out how to thread the drop in bobbin.

visit this website and see if the manual is available,
http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals

you need to type in the model number only and click search.

Most toploading drop in bobbins are similar though so even if you can't find the exact singer manual, try looking at a few others and see if they are similar to your machine.

Generally, the bobbin will need to go into the bobbin holder and the thread needs to be clicked into a tension spring, then the thread reverses direction in a "V' shape and goes out to the side to be caught by the top thread.

Other good info site is sewusa.com, they have many threading diagrams available http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Threading_Diagrams.htm so you can click through some Singer ones there and hopefully recognise a similar machine to yours.

I lost my manual for singer dressmaker 5103L ..dont know how to reload threads.

www.singerco.com has a 5102 manual listed for sale, you could email them and ask if they are similar.

www.sewusa.com has a threading diagram for 5107 http://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Diagrams/Threading_Pages/Singer_Sewing_Machine_Threading/singer_5107_threading.htm, might give you some help right now to get you going, threading of models within each manufacturer's range are often very similar.

or www.tradebit.com has lots of manuals, can't see this model listed though.

Hi my singer 2517 is giving me some trouble the stitch on top id coming out perfect though on the bottem the thread is bunched up and theres alot of it!!! the seem is not holding either im a new user i...

"Birdnesting" occurs when there is no tension on the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. This is easily corrected by rethreading the machine, following the threading path carefully and making sure the thread is fully engaged in the tension mechanism.
