Setting Time & Date

My husband and I have purchased 2 of the VN-2100PC Digital Voice Recorders and we are having trouble setting the time and date. Instructions are very vague - can you assist please?

Check a video instructions on how to set time and date on www.HandBookLive.com click on Electronics category. There is a chapter on Setting time and date. It is VN-4100PC but it is the exact same thing

Press and hold the menu/disp for or longer until the hq flashes. press the minus button until the time flashes...then press play button. press +/- until the hour is set, then press the ff button and change the minutes, then ff to the date and change accordingly. When finished press play then stop.

Yes you got a new computer but unfortunately the vn-2100PC is not compatible with 64 bit OS's neither XP 64bit or Vista 64 bit...therefore it will also not work with 7 64bit.

Timer
You can schedule for automatic recording, specifying the start time
and end time of recording. When the timer-controlled recording
completes, the setting is released.
In Menu mode selection... SET, On, OFF→After selecting SET, press the PLAY button to set the time to start the recording.

Lost the installation cd
You will all need to call Olympus to have the software be emailed to you as it is not available for download from their website. The telephone number to call is 888-553-4448 option 5 and then option 2 for Digital Voice Recorders

I had the same problem with the VN-4100PC and 64-bit Vista, and have solved it by accessing the recorder under Windows XP in a Sun VirtualBox. This will probably work for the VN-2100PC
