Assuming you have access to the router, the router has a reset button on the back, which must be pressed for about 30 secs to 1 minute, until the router lights flash off and back on. This will result in a total wipe of all settings and restore it back to factory. This will result in the loss of all previous settings and may cause your internet access to stop working until any custom settings (if used) are re-entered.
Once the factory reset is complete, you can access most D-link routers by surfing (with web browser) http://192.168.0.1. when prompted, you will need to enter the default username and password which is admin / admin or admin / leave blank.
Once you are logged in you can then access your router to restore the desired settings.
