I recommended this site to another questioner who needed a remote for their electric fireplace and apparently they were successful in purchasing a universal remote kit. It's worth a try.

is pilot flame on the thermopile good, pilot flame should cover the thermocouple and thermopile if unit has both

Thermocouples are kind of generic. If you remove the one on the heater, you can take it to your local hardware store and match it up. The new ones usually come with adapters for the three main ways they attach. The only thing you really need to make sure of is that is the right length.

Take the fan power switch apart and clean the 2 point contacts. Also clean the 4 male studs that the wires plug into. That should solve the problem.

you have to remove the doors and then the lower ember cover, he lighs are underneath.... i am looking on how o make he flame move, it froze and won look like real fire anymore
