Is there a ez step by step way to connect our new 61" rear projection Samsung  HL 61A TV to a cable box?

I have a HDMI cable, however my cable box doesn't have the correct plug in for that connection.  Some guy at the store told me to use my red, yellow, and white cable

The Samsung Television has 3 HDMI inputs, You would connect an HDMI cable from the Cable box to your television and go into a menu on the television to select the appropriate HDMI input.

New cable boxes should have the HDMI connection.

Most Flat screen televisions I've seen have an input button on the television itself. Pushing it should allow you to switch between inputs.

The red yellow and white cable are RCA jacks found on most all video devices. The red and white are audio and the yellow is for video.

Connect from the outputs RCA jacks on the cable box to the input RCA jacks on the television then change the television to the correct input setting.

This link is a picture of RCA cable http://www.audiogear.com/Resources/Adpt3...

HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. If you want to use the HDMI connection you need to get your cable provider to get you a High Definition cable box with the HDMI output.

To get the best quality picture I would use the HDMI connection.

I've never seen a television without the RCA Red Yellow and White connections though.

Make sure that all of your cables / wires are connected properly. You can also check to see if the TV input is set to set to RGB.

Samsung 61

If using a cable or sat box try a DVD etc when set cold, a box can cause lockup issues via signal.

Not a color wheel is correct, more likely a DMD which is rather pricy and almost as much as the entire light engine which comes with it.

Keep getting a blue screen. Avery so often the picture switches to a blue screen and than picture comes back and than a few minutes later a blue screen. Thank You

Sounds like a problem with source recognition. Could have a problem with input coming into the tv such as cable connection problem, loose wires, etc. Try reseting the cable box and removing and reinstalling all of the cables in the back and the cable box.

Samsung DLP TV won't turn on

This sounds to me like one of two possibilities. First, check your ballast. If you're going through bulbs faster than you think you ought to be, you may have a ballast that is overloading. Its the 3" x 8" circuit board that connects directly to the bulb. They are plentiful and often cheap. Thats what I'd try first. If that doesnt' do it, I would invest in a new power supply board. That the board that the tv power cable hooks directly in to. This should give you a start, Comment back if you still need further help. Good luck.
