Are you getting any error msgs when you try to print? It's possible that you have a communication problem. Make sure that your computer and printer is able to talk. Since no details were provided, you can try to uninstall the Lexmark software and download an updated driver online at www.lexmark.com.
It could be that your cartridges are not aligned. Please follow the steps below to fix your problem:
From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button.
Go to Maintenance.
Select Align Cartridges. Your printer will then print a page to align your cartridges.
After the test page is printed, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Try to check and make sure your black ink level is still good and not about to go empty. On the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Maintenance > Ink Levels.
If the black ink level is still good, make sure the cartridges are aligned. Try this approach. On the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Maintenance > Align Cartridges. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them as well as align the cartridges.
Try to print a document again to verify that the print quality has improved.
Visit the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/iofMNC to download the Lexmark X4650 driver. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.
This can either be blocked nozzles on the cartridge, or an alignment problem. Go to Start - All Programs - Lexmark - Solution Center and print out a Clean Nozzle Page and an Alignment Page from the maintenance tab. That should fix the issue.
