The F5 ERROR code means that the self check that the control (also called clock)board runs to check itself has failed and the control has detected a problem within itself and the control must be repalced.

My frigidaire oven wont stop beeping and it has a f9 code

Hi

F9 is a door lock error and to solve this issue you can hold the light switch for 15 seconds, this will reset the control. If it won't work then hold the light switch in and set the unit to clean and after a minute press cancel to cancel the clean cycle. If still it won't work then the door lock assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

F8 error and bottom door locked

Here is Frigidaire's suggestion to your problem:

Oven Control Beeps

and Displays an "F"

Error Code

Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Push CANCEL pad to clear the display

and stop the display from beeping. Reprogram the oven. If a fault reoccurs, record the fault
number, push the CANCEL pad and contact an authorized servicer.

Beeping driving me crazy

Ok, the first issue is the oven temp sensor. it is shorted. you will need to replace this device asap. Now, the second is is concerning the Self clean latch. it is not functioning and it is unable to be locked by the control(shorted). Use the procedure below to test this device.

1. If door latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Replace door switch.
4. Re-apply power.
5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.

2. If door not latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.

3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.

Kenmore gas oven continuously beeps F-5 when on. I have to cancel and not use. Please help.

All F5-E Codes - Door Switch Defect - This occurs when the door switches do not match.
If door is latched, disconnect power from unit and check wires and connections. If damage is found, replace appropriate part.
If connections are not damaged, reconnect power and hold down any key until the F5 error clears.
Once the F2 code appears, select 'cancel' and observe for one minute for errors.
If door is NOT latched, disconnect power from unit and check wires and connections. If damage is found, replace appropriate part.
If connections are not damaged, measure door switch (door open = latch open) and latch switch (unlatch = switch open) and replace either if defective.
If corrections are made during any step, power should be reconnected and the unit should be tested.
Press and hold any key to clear the error code and F2 code should appear. Select 'cancel' and observe for one minute for errors.
If error continues, disconnect power and replace control.

I have Fridigaire double oven part# PLEB27T8ACA with F8 code prob

wow, that is so weird...i was just getting ready to write the exact same thing. this last time mine beeped, i just kept letting it beep for several minutes. if kept on. i then went in and pressed all the buttons except for cancel and nothing happened. then i pressed the oven light button. the beeping stopped. not sure if it's coincidence or if that was what i was supposed to press. i will keep messing with the buttons and let you know if i figure it out. i will dread if it beeps all night long.

My oven is beeping!

Try turning it off at the mains, then whilst turning it on, press and hold the cancel button.
Check the fuse and any other electrics on the same ring; eg. Washing Machine - this can indicate that the circuit breaker has tripped, replace any fuses and check integrity of electric on that circut, then flick it back on.

Frigidaire Electric oven model # GLEB27S7C

If you unplug the range and remove the lower rear cover on your left side you should see the motor with 2 switch's on it. There are 3 possibilitys with it. One of the switch's on the assembly is not working or the light switch for the door is not good. You also can disconect the lead to the motor and connect a power cord to it and that will unlock the door so you can check the dor switch also. if you do not feel comfortable powering up the lock motor then you should call a repair man. But one of the switches is not letting the computer know the dor is locked.
