How to connect an iPod to my Bose Radio

The manufacturer offers two radios Bose iPod connection kit to connect an iPod to the radio. You can purchase the kit to connect the wave or acoustic wave connect kit. Both kits come with a USB audio connection, an iPod dock for iPod, a battery that plugs into the wall and a remote control to use the iPod while in dock. Download all the upgrades to your iPod through Apple's website before connecting a Bose radio.

1. Connect one end of the audio cable is included with the connection kit for iPod "Aux In" on the back of the Bose radio.

2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the "Audio Out" on the back of the iPod dock.

3. Connect the adapter to an outlet connection kit. Connect the other end of the battery to the "DC Power" on the back of the iPod dock.

4. Set the iPod dock on the right side of the face of Bose radio out. Align the IR sensor on the front of the iPod dock with the IR sensor on the front of the Bose radio.

5. Place the iPod firmly in iPod dock. Point the remote at the IR sensor, iPod dock. Press the "iPod" for the iPod

I have a ten year old bose wave/radio/cd player. Sound is great but want to play music from my ipod through the bose. my ipod plays in car using aux cable but this does not have same result when connected to aux input in back of bose - it just doesn't work. Any solutions please

Anything that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except PHONO). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT "Phono".

Bose wave radio won't turn on

Unfortunately Bose will not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively giving them a monpoly on repair of these units. Their web site, www.bose.com, offers to repair most Wave radios for $100 or to provide a $200 allowance towards purchase of a new Wave. Before you spend the big bucks on theis trouble-prone product though, you might want to check out the new HD radios -- better sound and MUCH lower prices than Bose.

unable to connect ipod

Reset the radio (it has a processor) by just unplugging the power cord for about 30+ seconds and plugging it back in. If this doesn't solve the problem, try replacing the remote battery (CR2032- can be found almost everywhere batteries are sold) If all else fails, call Bose tech support. The cable you connected has nothing to do with this.
