If you've exhausted all means on the Samsung website, this is worth a shot -
Disconnect the player from the PC, and make sure the mp3 player is turned off. Hold in the volume + button on the mp3 player, and reconnect the player to your pc while holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the volume + for 10-15 seconds until a "Found New Hardware Wizard" pops up. It should recover your device if there isn't anything internally wrong with the player. Warning: this procedure will result in your songs being erased off the player, so they will have to be reloaded.

I JUST HAD THIS PROBLEM.... ok... did you plug in the device before you installed the program?...if you did you will have to uninstall everything and install it again without the device in the usb... and then restart it... thats what my problem was... if you dont get it then just go into programs and click install on everything =) hope that helps...
Sounds like the system files have been corrupted or deleted.
The HDD6330 is only compatible with Windows XP (With Service Pack 2) & Windows Media Player 10. If you have version 11, you will need to uninstall it to roll back to version 10.
Install and run the Philips Device Manager from the product CD.
Connect the player to the power supply and PC.
If the player is recognised by the PC, select the repair/restore option in Philips Device Manager, and follow the on-screen prompts. This will format the player and re-load the firmware.
NOTE: THIS WILL DELETE ALL TRACKS ON THE PLAYER.
If this doesn't help, then post details of what happens, and I'll try to help further.
Try connecting to the original computer.
Try other usb ports.
Try connecting to another computer beside the one you use. It should show up as an additional drive.
