Have you verified that all of the power cables are plugged in? Try plugging it into a different outlet. There may also be a separate power button on the printer besides the one on the top. If you have another power adapter, try that as well. Make sure that you can plug another device into that power outlet and it powers up properly.

I have put al new ink and it keeps saying im low or all out, i can not print anything but black and white

Make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. If you are, unplug the power adapter of the printer and plug it back in after 20 seconds.

If it doesn't help, reset your printer back to its factory settings:
1Turn off the printer. NOTE: Make sure the printer is not in Power Saver mode. Press and hold pattlnk_732009_107-on.png for two seconds to turn off the printer. If you have set the Power Saver timeout in the Setup menu, press and hold pattlnk_732009_107-on.pngaccording to the time you set in the menu. 2From the printer control panel, press and hold pattlnk_732009_108-green.pngand pattlnk_732009_109-x.png , and then press pattlnk_732009_107-on.png to turn

Lexmark x6650 won't take paper correctly

Leading cause of paper jams or misfeeds is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
  3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
  4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
  6. Close the printer cover.
  7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
  8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Do i need software like ocr so that the lexmark x6650 scanner can work

If you are scanning documents for editing or saving them as PDF, you will need to install the OCR scan software. The Lexmark OCR scan software is available only on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center to request for one.
If your scanner was working before, it could be just a slight communication problem. A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to scan a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My lexmark x6650 printer will not connect back online

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. If your printer is connected via USB cable to your computer, simply disconnect the printer from your computer, reboot your pc and unplug/re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When everything turns back on, reconnect the printer into the pc. Wait for the computer to fully recognize the USB connection. Try to print again.
If you're printer is wirelessly connected to your computer through your wireless network, please refer to this article for a more comprehensive instructions on how to identify and fix the communication problem - Wireless & Network Communication Issues with 2008 Lexmark Inkjet Products
