An older camera, the DiMage A1 came with a 16mb card. Some cameras are picky about which cards work best. Compact Flash cards are sold in different speeds and your camera may work faster with a faster card. This camera can use Compact Flash type I or type II, and is compatible with the microdrive card. Since this camera was introduced the capacities of Compact Flash cards have increased dramatically so I believe you should be able to use a larger card with no problems but I would check out some of the online photography sites to read about other's experiences. Here is one good resource: http://www.imaging-resource.com/
Hope this helps!
The solution was sooo easy.....one of my online embroidery groups suggested to put the card in my Janome and let the machine format it. It took about a minute and did not tell me what it was doing..and It worked! It put two folders on my card, Emb5 and ord#5, and I was to copy the jef files into the Emb5 folder, which I did and bingo! my Janome 9500 read the card and produced a screen with my jef files in it. I am a happy camper....I don't know if this works with all Janome machines but it did with mine. Thanks for being here to help. Pepsi lady
The size of Type-I is 36.4 (H) x 42.8 (W) x 3.3 (D) mm, which is the most popular type of Compact Flash card. On contrary, Type-II is 5.0mm in thickness. Some Type-II is designed not only for data storage including hard disk memory, but also for special purposes such as LAN or MODEM card, or parallel or serial connection.
Some MobilePro units have exhibited the following symptoms when using Compact Flash Cards or ATA PCMCIA Memory Cards:
1. Storage Card folder is not displayed when you insert a PCMCIA ATA card and/or a Compact Flash card.
2. Warning message "Unidentified PC Card Adapter".
3. Warning message "Storage Card Warning" displayed.
To fix these issues:
If you have a MobilePro 750C without a ROM upgrade, download the file MP75Pcm.exe from support.necsam.com. For a MobilePro 750C with upgraded ROM, use the file MP75RPcm.exe. After the files are extracted, follow the instructions in the Readme.txt file.
