Hi and welcome to FiXya. I am Kelly
What your describing it the result of fuel starvation. This can be caused by:
1. Debris in the fuel line or a crack in the fuel line
2 A clogged "fuel tank" internal pick up hose screen
3. A pinched fuel line
4. A clogged needle jet seat
5. A hole in the carb diaphram
6. Debris in the fuel air mixture screw / needle passages
7. A non vented gas tank cap.
Any of the above can cause the symtom you described. For sure it is a fuel supply problem.
I tried crossing the part numbers for just a Ryobi Model 77 and was unalbe to cross it to a working model number.
I came up with 2 different carb part numbers using a 30 CC engine
1st PN:
791-182875
2nd PN: 985624001
If you can pass the exact Model Number, I can provide you with a source for the carb or parts.
Thanks for using FixYa.
Kelly
