I have an lectric Homelite blower/vac. It worked well for 1/2 hour. I turned it off and when I wanted to turn it back on, it started but stopped within a minute. I tried three different extension cords and plugs but still would not work. What is wrong?

I could be a variety of things. Did you have a very long cord on it? did the cord loosen the plug? are you sure the outlet is still good, Also you may need to wait a few hours for a thermal reset to reset.

Just started bogging down when I try to give it gas.

Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn

*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
5) carburetor gaskets/diaphragms

I have the homelite Vac Attack 2, i'm having trouble starting it, i prime it the desired 7 times (actually more) but i just sit there and pull, and pull, and pull the cord....really getting frustrated!

#1 senerio
Fouled spark plug
ie, carbon and or fuel fouled
install new plug, and withouth choking or priming, pull 4-6 times while holding the throttle at wide open.

If not fouled, go to senerio #2

#2 senerio
Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
5) replace gaskets/diaphragms
b) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb

I have a homelite model uto8550 26cc mighty blower/vac. On initial startup it runs at half choke then stalls when i turn it to run. Any suggestions?

1. check fuel filter in gas tank (for clogged condition).
2. Check carb jet for dirt (squirt carb cleaner in jet and fuel inlet

Summary: your carb is not getting enough fuel to mix properly with constant air flow. Therefore, fuel supply needs to be cleaned... then you will run happy!!

Does this blower use 2 cycle mix; I have a homelite vac attack II 200mph blower and it is having trouble starting

Yes it will use a fuel mixture of 40:1(3.2 oz of two cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas). Any fuel sitting over 30 days now is considered bad fuel. All the manufacturers schools this year and told us this. We are finding it to be true.
Good day.

How do i adjust the carburator on homelite weedeater

It has two screws or at least it should. One with the letter L next to it and the other with the letter H next to it. Turn both in lightly until they seat. Then turn the L screw out 1 1/4 turns and the H screw out 3/4 turn. This should get the unit running unless you have other problems. then fine tuning may be required after you get it running. If it bogs out when throttled turn the L screw out another 1/16 of a turn. Then if it won't rev like it should turn the H screw in 1/16th of a turn.

If this doesn't work then you'll probably need a carburetor kit and tune up.

Good luck

Homelite vacuum blower doesn't run at full speed.

Sounds like you need to adjust the Carb. Take the two plastic caps off and turn each screw 1/2 turn. and then try to start. If it works then out the caps back on (or you can leave them off, they are not needed).
Good luck!
