Engine got a knocking cold start, silint when hot

It has developed a clicking engine noise on a cold start. After the car has warmed up, the sound goes away. ... Clicking or a sharp tapping from the valve cover on top of the engine would point to a valve train noise. A dull tapping or slapping sound from the side of the engine block would point more toward piston slap.4 Nov 2011

Does not putout cold air and makes a clicking noise

if you tilted it and plugged it up emediately after moving the internals in compressor are probably broken' also if floor is uneven where it is now condenser fan could be hitting a cover which would cause click fan would not turn rite and would cause it not to cool.

Loud clicking noise from dash whenever heat

I have and 2002 with rear air and had the same noise and problem in the back. There is motor in the back that moves a flapper door open and closed to blend the hot and cold. The motor has plastic gears in it and they strip out making a clicking noise when the motor cannot hit the point that the heat control dial is being set too. Probably the same set under the front dash. You will more than likely need to by a new motor assy.

My sons car has a clicking noise comming from the

It sounds like it is probably the valve train making a little noise - this normally happens when the car is cold (before it warms up and the oil gets moving nicely)

Has he done an oil change recently? Does he have sufficient oil in the car? Check these things and rectify if necessary. Finally, he might want to double-check the oil he's using - the first number in the specification (eg 5W30) refers to the cold viscosity - he may need to change this to improve his cold starting.

Hope this helps

Fridge keeps making "clicking" noise and will not get very cold

the clicking noise is probably the unit trying to start but it cant because its too overheated, try turning it off for about 30 minutes to cool the compressor down, then put the thermostat at 3 for the fridge and not the coldest for the freezer and leave it there for a few hours to stabalize the temperature and see what happens.

Clicking noise coming from refrigerator

If the "clicking" noise is from a relay on the board or compressor, it's likely th compressor would be cycling on and off.

It could be a fan blade (evaporator or condenser) hitting something. Both fans only run when the compressor is on. This should be addressed ASAP as it could be a wire it's rubbing on.

Finally, the noise could be caused by the refrigerant within the sealed refrigeration system. This noise is more of a nuisance rather than a mechanical failure.

I have a slk55 2006. When Cold starting the enginee. Loud clicking noise occurred when the enginee run @ 5000r/m. Noise comes from the upper part of the enginee. Till the enginee warm up to normal temp.,...

If your revving the engine to 5000 rpm when its cold, chances are the clicking noise is your valves. Cold oil will not get to the top end for proper lubrication until the engine warms up, and running at 5000 rpm with no oil?? not good. If your treating the car like that, I can't believe it hasn't blown up yet.
