I have a liftmaster 1265 and can only open with the wall unit. Both of my openers will not work. Tried reprogramming with the "smart" button but to no avail. The problem started immediately after the house was struck by lightning. The "lock" light continues to flash also. I can turn it off but as soon as I hit a button on the remote openers it starts flashing again. What do I try next?

Sounds like the receiver portion of your logic board has quit. The wall control is hardwired and doesn't use the receiver.

Sounds like your receiver has quit working. To program the remotes do this: Press and hold the button on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote. If this doesn't work your logic board is bad.

If you are sure the battery is good and this doesn't work then you need to replace the keypad.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

I believe that inside the remote unit is a set of 10 small switches. Some of these switches are on and some are off. When you reprogrammed your opener, it looked for the code of the remote that you were using. You must change any one switch on the remote and go thru the reprogramming procedure again. After that, the one opener will only work with that specific remote.

On the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find the smart/learn button. Press and hold the button on your clicker while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Should do the trick.

On the side of the motor unit you will find the 'down limit control'. Using a small screwdriver turn this control in the same direction as the arrow printed on the cover. Some tweaking may be necessary to get it just right.

On the rear of your motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find the smart/learn button. Hold the button down on your remote and press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this with all your remotes.

Reset the Liftmaster unit. There should be a red reset button on the unit in the garage. If this does not work, reset the breaker. Good Luck!

Have you tried to reprogram the chanel again?
Changed the battery?
