In the Setup menu, select "CSM/Setup menu" and set it to "Full" instead of "Simple." For some reason Nikon thinks that most users don't need those options.

Microsoft Outlook is an email application that can be used as a stand-alone program or with Microsoft Exchange Server.

Many companies and businesses choose Outlook as their preferred email client.
Features of the program include the ability to manage a calendar, contact list, task list and journal.

Outlook contains folders for components such as the Inbox and Calendar.
These items have a view assigned to them determining the colors, fonts, fields and many more settings that control how the items appear in each folder.

Create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help

Unhide photo app

Click start control panel scroll to folder options view place a tick in show hidden files folders and drives
this may vary depending on your operating system

To run the windows find, click start and then click Find or Search (varies depending on version of windows) Finally click the option to Find Files or Folders. This should open a folder similar to the below illustrated example The named or Search for files or folders named field is where you would type the name of the file you are looking for on the computer Click start type in all or part of the name of file or program you have lost or misplaced press "ENTER" this should take you to the file or programs location This field allows the user to use any numbers or letters on the keyboard and will also support wild characters such as * or % The containing text field enables you to search for files that contains text you may be looking for For example you may be looking for a file that contains the phrase computer help typing computer help in this field will find any file that contains these words Keep in mind that some program files such as microsoft word or microsoft excell files will encrypt the data when saved and therefore may be unable to find plain text words such as computer or help The Look in field allows you to specify where you wish to look on the hard drive for the files. If you do not know where the file is located, point look in to search the whole drive instead of just a folder. For example specify the C:\ drive For additional search options you can click on the Advanced tab or click on Search Options (depending on your version of Windows) and get more specific searches For example you can search by date type etc Hope this helps.

I have to clean my printer heads before I print any photo and after I stop awhile. Before I print again I have to clean the heads again because the photos are blurry and lines appear on my photos. I am...

Hi Juliet

EPSON STYLUS 1400 INKJET PRINTER PHOTO PAPER AND PRINTER SETTINGS

Formulating solutions based on remote diagnostics with just the detail in the question to go by is an inevitably imprecise science. We therefore aim to give our suggestions as wide an ambit as possible to cover all possible scenarios, abilities and experience levels. I suppose the best approach to initial FixYa solutions is to see them as an options list from which you can cherry pick the most relevant and practical ones. The Comment Box then provides the opportunity to fine tune the information flowing both ways. An updated picture after implementation of the relevant suggestions and additional background (such as whether the printer printed properly before and what paper choice of print setting changes since then may have caused the problem to first occurr, the remedies you have already tried, the specifications of you computer and its Opreating System) can then lead to more tailored suggestions.

There are many different types of Photo Paper and your Epson Printer has different Print Settings for each type. Matte paper, at the microscopic level, has more surface area than smoother papers and therefore has greater absorptive properties which, in turn, require a larger than usual amount of ink in order to produce an image with good resolution, than is the case for smoother papers. So Matte setting on a less absorbent paper type can cause excess ink issues and the problems you describe. The correct setting for each type of paper is the setting matching what is printed on the packaging of each respective type of paper (fabric, textured, matte, soft gloss, semi-gloss, gloss, high gloss, ultra gloss, premium gloss, etc).

Start > Control Panel > printers and faxes > right click on Epson Stylus 1400 icon > printing preferences > main > select 'Photo' or 'Best Photo' > click on the arrow next to 'Type' to reveal the drop down menu to select each Photo Paper Type you test > Apply > OK > restart printer > test Photo Printing again.

It is, for creative reasons, possible to deliberately use mismatched Photo Papers and Print Settings for artistic effect, but the results are unpredictable and matte settings for smoother, less absorbent papers can cause similar problems to those you describe. My advice to you would be to buy a variety of small packs of different papers to experiment with. Your enhanced aesthetic instincts will help you identify the best paper for the outcome you envisage. As a place to start, please consider examples of potential paper ideas by clicking on or copy/pasting-to-browser the links/URLs below:

So, please just set the printer settings to match each type of paper you trial to be 100% safe but there is also some margin for experimentation. With this in mind, you should be fine.

I hope this helps.

My NikonD80 always numbers each exposure on each Sd card loaded into computer in the same number sequence - DSC0001 etc- this makes it difficult to move images into other folders without having to give...

Change the File No. Sequence option in the Setup menu from Off to On. This will make the camera take up from after the last number each time you replace or format the memory card.

Full details are in the "Basic Camera Settings: The Setup Menu" section of the manual (page 101 and especially page 106 in my copy).

Photo size too large for email

You can do that in 2 ways.

1) Shoot the photo or video in reduced size (less quality). This can achieved by adjusting the settings in your camera.

2) Use 3rd party software like photoshop or Microsoft paint to manually reduce the size using it.
