I replaced the bearings and shoes. It has plenty of suction but moves very slowly. I have lessened the suction to where it doesn't even stick to the bottom and still moves very slowly. When I pull it up, the pods work fine.

Usually if you have good suction with a Baracuda and no movement you either need to clear the diaphragm of debris, or replace the diaphragm if it's got a hole in it.
It's pretty straightforward, just keep undoing things until you get to the flexible rubber bit. You have to check fairly carefully for holes because even the smallest opening means it's curtains for the diaphragm.
Good news is though that Zodiac should have a 1 year warranty on the diaphragm, which you can check by looking at the moulded stamp on the part. If it's under a year old your local dealer should just swap a new one for the old without any dramas.
This sounds like a problem with the pool cleaners shoes being worn. If the shoes become worn, it can cause the seal to the pool to become loose, even if you have enough suction. Try replacing the shoe on the side that is lifting (and both sides if they appear worn) and see if that corrects the problem.
It's probably just sticking, they come off from base. get some wd40 spray around connection, let sit for a few and wiggle back and forth lightly, you and one other person should try twisting too
Does the turbine spin freely when it is not connected to the suction hose? Sometimes even with a new turbine, they do not spin freely after you have put it back together. This is usually the problem. Also, depending on the type and shape of the pool, too much suction can cause the cleaner to **** to the floor causing drag. Hope this helps.
If you are getting suction through the cleaner, but it is not moving around, you probably have wings or shoes improperly installed. If the pool cleaners shoes look worn or are not installed properly, this will happen. A copy of the users manual is below. Check to make sure that they are installed properly. You might also need to adjust the rear tension flap. Finally, even though you think your suction is good, make sure that there are no obstructions or leaks that would cause movement failure.
You likely just need a new pad on the head. When they ware down they allow the head to get closer to the surface that it's cleaning, but the additional suction makes it difficult for the head to move.
if you have enough suction and it still does nothing, even after replacing the shoes, it probably needs a turbine kit with "a" frames. if the bearings are bad on the turbine or a - frames, it won't let it achieve enough range of motion to actually move the unit. I would recommend installing a turbine kit, with a-frames. hope this helps.
Check the screws that are on either side of the pods. They are located underneath a white plug. They have a 1/4" head. You'll need a nut driver. Make sure they are nice and tight. Also, you will need to look at the a-frame bearings and check for uneven wear.
