I have a weed eater twist n edge RTE115 and can't figure out how to re-thread the line. Any suggestions?

The gap between the tube and the body will be full of fine dust. Spray the gap with WD40 so that it runs into the tube. Leave it 10 minutes and then spray it again. Wait 5 minutes and remove the tube.

hi - can you get a small flat blade screw drive under the edge of the screw and lift while unscrewing it or the tips of a broken fork. you may have to tap a new thread if screw is just turning.

I installed the Pivo trim head yesterday. The info that came with the unit will show you how to install it on ANY Weed Eater Unit. Also they have videos on their web site at: https://pivotrim.com/

Look on the end of the shaft of your weed eater at the head. Mine was a 25cc Poulan/weed eater SST45 and it has a hole that you need to stick a HEX KEY in so the shaft does not move when you try to remove it. ALSO it has a BACKWARDS THREAD!!! So "Right is NOT Tight." Left is to tighten and turn towards the right to get the head to unscrew so you can put on the Pivotrim Head. Also you can use ANY Weed Eater line on the unit. As I tried several different lines and found different uses for different lines. Such as edging and trimming against fences. Best after Market Weed Eater head I have EVER used. :-)

I have one like this also. The retaining nut (ring) for the stringhead is inadequate as are some of the other parts on this budget priced unit, If you wanna use it I would suggest puttting a different type of string-head on it if you can.
