I have a whirlpool duet, new, and it is coding F01, double beeping, and the door is locked. Can we figure out what is wrong? Please? Before I..... throw this **** thing out the door. thanks :)

please reset the washer by unplugging it's power for 1 to 2 minutes before plugging the power back in and pressing start. If the issue reoccurs, please switch power outlets and try again. If all else fails, please review the troubleshooting section of your manual.

For how long did you unplug the power cord? If it was under 5 minutes, unplug it for longer. Check if that clears the error code. If it doesn't, the motor control unit needs to be replaced.

Please double check your model number to get the correct part. Most of the Whirlpool washers have model numbers that start with 3 letters.

Great! you have the MCU (motor control unit) need to replace. Removing the rear panel so you are able to see the motor and MCU. Replacement is easy, almost no screw on the board.

Try unplugging the machine for a few hours to rest the code on the board.

if door doesnt lock could be door interlock.

Problem isnt solved, seems like several people are having the same problem with whirpool front load washer with the F01....sad nobody will help you, they want money.....as high priced as those machine are............dont buy whirlpool......

probably your door then, look at the door itself, at the latch is it broken? should form a complete square hole with four sides. if broken some part is probably inside lock asm. if complete, look at lock and determine if its in the lock position with door open, a arm will be up preventing the latch from going in. replace as necessary. Old duets (red lights) use standard lock asm same as GE and samsung. New duets (green lights) use whirlpool/new maytag unique asm. New locks come in two interchageable models, German (made in china) and Mexican, Mexican model is more troublesome, get german.
If lights flash during a cycle or other time, its giving a code, note the F code displayed

Did you try to unplug the unit for 60 secounds and replug it back up?
do this and see if this works. then reset the machine's cycle, you are in the middle of cycle I usually push pause cancel and wait till the door beeps and then I can open it. but if this does not open the machine do the unplug and reset method. if this does not work please let me know.

My Tech sheet reads F01 is a EEprom Error ? Unplug washer or disconnect power for at lease two minutes. EEPROM ERROR A communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM onboard the CCU occurred. Possible Causes/Procedure ■ A power glitch may cause this error. ? Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle. PUMP DRIVE ERROR The pump driver fails to activate. ■ Replace CCU board. MAIN RELAYS ERROR ERREUR - One of the main relays is not working properly. Possible Causes/Procedure ■ The relay might be soldered or always open. ? Replace CCU board.
