You may want to try:
Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.
Wait for two minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.
Press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel.
Check to make sure that there's no standing water in the bottom of your dishwasher. Standing water in your dishwasher may indicate that your dishwasher has stopped mid-cycle. You will need to press the "Cancel/Drain" button before you can reset your dishwasher control panel.
HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY- HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY - CANCEL/OFF
the control will be reset...but more importantly how many times in a row does the light flash..it will indicate what error code its displaying??
example if it flashes 4 times then a pause then flashes 4 times again its displaying the error code#4 7 flashes then pause then 7 flashes its displaying the error code#7 ect ect
Press and hold the heated dry button for 5 seconds to unlock the controls. If that doesn't work go to the link below and it will tell you how to reset the control board.
If your dishwasher has a Cancel/Drain button press and hold it for 5 seconds or until it beeps or a light flashes. The drain cycle may take several minutes and the control panel should reset.
I actually had to change the steps a little and this is what I did:
press heated dry
press normal wash press heated dry again press normal wash again wait a few seconds all the lights should come on press cancel (should hear pump) hit cancel again
This worked great - press Sani Dry, then press Heated Dry - then repeat - press Sani Dry, then press Heated Dry. All control lights will light and then press Cancel. The control panel should work normally.
holding the button for four seconds will not do it, you have to hold it until the light stops blinking and
will go back to normal, normall takes more than four seconds to unlock the unit, this is something
the sears repair techs know becouse the are trained on all this things but, they will not share this things, becouse thats how they make money
