my flip ultrahd apparently needs a faster processor than my imac has. Nice of them to put this in the spec's - oh wait, it's not. Does the non-HD version need a faster processor?

Non-HD video can be edited on mac G4. Mine works from 2003 as well... And with a professional video. So, don't be afraid and edit Your non-HD without trouble.
Sincerely.

Flip Ultra HD -- can't upload videos into FlipShare v. 4.5 -- I keep getting the following error message when FlipShare opens after I've connected the Flip camcorder to the PC -- "An error occurred while interacting with your camcorder. Please make sure your camcorder is connected to your computer" Been back/forth with Flip support -- the recommended solution of uninstalling/rebooting/reinstalling doesn't fix the problem. I have an HP PC running WinXP. Any guesses as to a fix.

Frozen on startup

Take out the battery and leave it out for 48-72 hours. I had the same problem and Flip support suggested this solution which fixed the problem.
