Sony Handycam HDR-XR550V records your memories and snap 12.1-megapixel photos directly to the massive 240GB hard disk drive (HDD). High definition videos are recorded at 1920 x 1080 resolutions primarily to the in-built HDD. Picture quality was sharp and crisp, a result which was equally pleasing when viewing on a HD monitor or TV.

hiiii i lost ma manual for sony handycam..model no. hdrxr 520v..240gb hdd.. its internal memory is 17mb so its just recording 41sec video...wat abt the hdd... which can record upto 96hrs..

Hello,

Here is the main support page for your camera:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=HDRXR520V&LOC=3

There are several links including the Handycam Handbook. You might want to try formatting your HDD. Make sure there is nothing on it that you want because formatting will delete everything. Instructions for formatting are on page 72 of the handbook.

Thanks for using Fixya.
