Triple check the mounting hole spot for the top of the microwave mount. If you miss the threaded hole in the top of the microwave, its quite possible to actually push the threaded hole out of place as it only clips in and is way to flimsy for what it actually does. ,

You missed something while reading the installation directions but that won't fix it. since you already drilled holes in the wall lower the mount down as needed then drill new holes in the mount to match the holes you drilled in the wall. The problem would have been worse if you were off left or right... up and down is easier. Remember you maybe just not dropping the microwave low enough to fit in the slot at the bottom of the wall mount before you tilt the micro up.. check it one more time...including the directions before you re-drill

What size are t top mounting screws on the GE JVM1350 spacesave

You may be looking for the philips flat head 1/4 x 28 tpi (threads per inch) threaded bolt that is about 4" long. The tip of the bolt does not have threads, which aids in locating the threaded hole in the top of the microwave:

General Electric's part number for their OTR microwave cabinet mounting screw is WB01X10180 (or AP3205964 or 942461 as listed on some repair parts sites).

A set of three is GE's p/n WB01X10125 (or AP3185225 or 910236 as listed on some repair parts sites).

This flathead screw is used on most Advantium Speedcook microwave ovens such as the SCA2001BSS03 or SCA2000FWW03 or SCA2001KSS03.

I have the OTR mounting kit for a GE JVM1440WD microwave oven, and there are already holes drilled through the creamic tile where the same stove had been mounted previously, by "professional" GE techs, no less. However, along with 3 holes for the moly bolts, they had drilled a hole using a ceramic drill bit that supposedly was to anchor through an existing hole in the mounting bracket to a stud using a wood screw that's in the kit. Only thing is, they didn't hit a stud, they just drilled a hole and put the wood screw into "nothing". So my question is, shouldn't I get a ceramic drill bit and drill through the tile to a spot where I found an actual stud, matching up with a pre-drilled hole in the mounting bracket?? This is based on the assumption that the three moly-bolts on the mounting bracket and the two machine screws that go into the top of the microwave could still use that "extra holding power" of the wood screw into the stud. Am I correct, or am I nuts?? Please advise. Thanks.

I would recomend finding a stud to help hold to the wall. You are not nuts you are being safe by asking the ?
