Tip & How-To about Sharp LC-60LE600U 60" LCD LED TV 1080P

Remove black line appears on your LCD TV

You may get a vertical black line appeared on your LD screen. Don't panic. You may not have to replace the LCD panel (cost $1K more) or replace the TV. This is likely due to the issue with X-Y control board (either with connector or electronics). Here is the trick, use your hand to apply pressure on the TV frame (the edge if there is one, not directly on the LCD itself) exactly above or below where the line is. I was able to make the line disappeared in a few trials. I have done this 2 to 3 times in the last 3 years. I guess the same may apply to a horizonal black line and you press on the left and the right of where the line is. Good luck and let us know if it works for you.

This tip may work on 1 line of defect. If you have more lines as group or they appear in several areas, you will have a real problem that needs serious repair.

Samsung Ln-T4671F screen is getting darker. The whole screen is darker, not only the right or the left. Also a red vertical line appeared about a year ago, haven't noticed since- don't know of its related. I replaced bad caps a few years ago when I got the clicking problem.

MOST LIKELY YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE LCD PANEL. Try lightly squeezing the top of the TV. Start from one corner and work your way slowly to the other side. If squeezing the top of the frame clears up the screen problem, you have a defective LCD panel tab. The only true repair is the replace the screen. This cost for a replacement panel could cost more than a new TV set.

Your panel went bad. It is not cost effective to fix. I don't think you could get a panel any way.

The tv is having a problems with the board called T-Con board it is dying and the problems. That why the tv is not sustancening the tv pictures for those coded pictures pixels by the T-Con board to stay on to the tv LCD screen panel. This tv problems only causes by the tv T-Con board it is dying only if the tv problems came on to the tv by itself only.If these problems causes by u or an object by outer forces by hitting to the tv LCD screen panel itself. Now the tv LCD screen panel itself it is dying and the causes.Than the tv it is not repairable,tv now only can it to do a replacement of the tv whole LCD screen panel itself only. Not practical because the tv LCD screen panel are 90% important to the tv and the cost of the tv.If u replacing the tv LCD screen panel itself will cost the same as a new tv.The tv is under a year old,why don't u just call Vizio corp. and take ur tv warrenty repair.

i got a vertical line on the left side of my lcd screen it is two vertical lines

Hi rexdale_davi ,

I would recommend you the below steps :-

  1. Check if the power cords are connected properly.
  2. If the product is under warranty , please get it replaced as it might have malfunctioned.
  3. The vertical lines usually appear because of bad panels which are caused due to power surges.
In many cases for larger TV's the cost to replace panel is found to be higher ,therefore people prefer to buy a new one, but i would suggest you to compare the panel rates and take a decision accordingly.

Hope this helps ..:)
