kot-170sb. No display or function at all. Outlet tested good. Is there a breaker in the unit that needs resetting or something like that?

The microwave oven has a main ceramic fuse located inside the unit under the keypad in towards the high voltage capacitor "silver and rectangular in shape" unplug microwave, remove top and allow 30 seconds for the capacitor to drain, use screwdriver and short across to make sure no charge is present, keep in mind the microwave carries dangerous high voltages.

blown capacitor but....

Be sure you replaced the capacitor in the proper (+) (-) orientation. There is a half moon shape line on the board on one side of the capacitor legs, that is the negative terminal. If incorrectly installed it will not work.
