Tip & How-To about Black & Decker B2300 Bread Machine

Removing The Bottom From a Black & Decker B2300 Bread Machine

Things you will need

  1. A large clear table with lots of room to work.
  2. At least 4 small dishes to keep screws organized.
  3. A few screwdrivers - 1 or 2 Phillips head, 1 or 2 straight (slotted) with long shanks are best.
  4. A straight screwdriver to be modified
  5. Utility knife or Xacto knfe
How-To open up the breadmaker
  1. Modify a straight screwdriver by taking a dremel tool with a 1/32" or 1/64" thick cut-off wheel and grind a notch in the centre of the blade as pictured below.The depth of the notch is best around 1/16" deep because there are other screws in the machine that will need this screwdriver. However for our purposes here we only need it for 2 screws
  2. Proceed to remove the screws from the bottom of the machine. There are 4 Phillips/Straight screws (can use either type) and 2 of the special screws and set to the side in a dish. The screw locations are shown below: 1=Normal Screws -- 2=Special ScrewsThe special screws look like:
  3. Turn the machine over and disassemble the lid by opening up the lid and removing the 5 screws shown below and set aside in a dish*Note be careful when removing the metal plate, the window is made of glass and can easily fall out and break, remove carefully. Also the plastic vent is just sitting in its opening and can fall out.
  4. Once you have removed the metal plate, remove the 2 screws holding the lid to the hinges and slide the lid off the hinges, put screws with the others from the lid as they are the same. Screws shown below
  5. Remove the controls and display. There are 3 screws as shown below, they are covered by little white plugs which are most easily removed with the point of a utility or Xacto knife, put the screws and plugs in a dish.There are also 4 clips holding the panel in place, 2 pop off easily, the last two are near the display and can be awkward
  6. Now remove the 8 screws from the bottom of the "oven" walls, locations shown below and put in a dish.
  7. There are 8 clips inside the machine that hold the top to the bottom, with any luck they won't really be holding well and you can lift the top off. Start by pulling the left side up, letting the clips pop open. While lifting the top, carefully feed the control panel through the opening below it and finish taking the cover off. If the top doesn't come off easily, you may have to remove the "oven" walls by carefully prying up the top lip. If you get stuck the seal around the outside of it can be removed as well with the use of a small screwdriver or a utility knife.
There you now have the cover off and you can have fun working on the innards of the machine.
One problem area I discovered is the main drive belt. You may want to check that if the machine suddenly stops running and you think the motor is fried. The problem is the pulley on the motor shaft can slide up towards the motor causing the belt to slide off.

Reassembly
Reassembly is simply the reverse of of the above procedure.

Conclusion
I hope this guide has helped and good luck repairing your machine.

How do i get to the fuse on a Whirlpool microwave MH1170XSS

A bad fuse is one of the most common problems on microwaves, including Whirlpool ovens. Most modern microwaves use the same style of fuse which you can find at most appliance and electronics stores. The difficulty of replacing the fuse in a Whirlpool microwave can vary depending on whether you are working on a countertop microwave or a built-in. Knowing where to start can make the process much easier for either style of microwave. Countertop Microwaves Step 1 Unplug the microwave and let it sit for a few minutes before beginning repairs. Bring it to a clear area with enough room to work. Leave enough room to have access to it on all sides. Step 2 Remove the Phillips screws from the outer shell of the microwave. The screws are located along the lower sides and around the edges of the back. Put the screws into a bucket or bowl to keep them together. Pull the shell away from the microwave, and set it to the side. Step 3 Look for the fuse inside the exposed controls of the microwave. The fuse is located in a small receptacle with two wires running to it. Use a flat screwdriver to pry up from the bottom of the fuse. The fuse will pop out. Replace the fuse with a new one. Built-in Microwaves Step 1 Unplug the microwave, and let it sit for a few minutes before beginning repairs. Step 2 Open the microwave door, and look for two Phillips screws along the left side of the control panel. Remove these screws. Lift up on the control panel, and tilt it outward. The control panel will rest on its hinges. Step 3 Find the fuse receptacle within the control area. Is is usually located to the left or center of the cavity. You will see two wires that go to either end of a small, plastic receptacle. Use a flat screwdriver to pry up on the bottom of the fuse. The fuse will pop out. Replace the fuse with a new one.

We have a large three-generation family, and during the holidays, I would really like to buy a smaller table for the kids to sit at that will be both fun for them and relaxing for us. Can anyone recommend a good kitchen/dining room table for young kids?

If your looking for a small dinning room table for your grand kids that doesn't take up a lot of space you can check out Four Chairs Furniture. my microwave keypad doest not work apparently. It says "service may needed". How can solve this error.

HELLO.

The solution to your microwave problem is explained below.

Things You will Need

* Phillips screwdriver
* Foil
* Large ziplock baggie
* Tape

* 1 Unscrew the 2 screws in the top vent grill and remove it.
* 2 Unscrew the 1 screw above the computer keypad, then slide it up to unlock it and it will hinge down, revealing the computer circuit board behind the keypad.
* 3 Put a sheet of foil into the large ziplock bag and seal it up.
* 4 Then tape it to cover the whole circuit board in the back of the computer. You may have to let the wires stick out of the middle of your foil covering. The ziplock is to keep the metal foil from short circuiting anything on the computer, and the foil protects the circuit board from the small amount of leaking microwaves inside.
* 5 Lock the keypad back up and plugin the microwave to test it before screwing everything back together.

Thanks.
