What you are experiencing could be a battery terminal related issue..
On your first question, you mentioned that you replaced batteries on both truck and remote control. No response from the truck and a short respond of light on the remote.

It is better to check first the terminals to where the battery is inserted. Corrosion build up in the terminals may lead to improper contact with the battery.

You can remove the corrosion by dipping a cotton swab in a lemon juice or vinegar and rubbing it to affected area. The acid will help dissolve it. You can also try rubbing it with any metal to expose its contact surface.

Hope that fix it and make your truck and remote work again.

You may need to lubricate the gear part of the truck cause it's been a long time since it last worked.

I know on a bobcat 773 there are 2 spool lock soleniods. They are on the front of the bucket control valve. They literally lock the valve by a spring loaded pin that goes in a groove on the spool. When they get juiced the pin retracts and that spool can move. One for lift and one for curling the bucket. Check the wires coming out of the solenoids. Unplug them one at a time and see if the code comes right back. That should narrow it down to which one is bad. I changed both but compared ohms.
