I don't think it will, but you only need to cut one wire. That reduces the risk of the two wires shorting and damaging something. Tape off the wire so it won't accidentally contact anything. You might first want to check the manual to see if there is a way to disable the smoke generator without cutting anything - maybe there's a hidden switch that does the job.

The batteries may be enough to make the whistle blow but not enough for the wheels. The other possibility is that the carbon brush on the motor need cleaning and resetting. If you happened to see Roger's idea about using cooking oil on it, please don't. I will be deleting his post shortly. I have told him time and time again not to suggest cooking oil for lubrication of metal parts. There are troubleshooting videos in this link. Hi, If you've done a full swap on a majority of parts associated with your device, I would attempt a factory reset if possible and then use a Home Depot technician or Geeksquad technician to help you if the factory reset fails to help with the volume issue. Thank you.

When you press the reset button on the controller box, then you need to press the small recessed button on the back of the remote control. You'll need a pen to get in there, or better yet a paper clip. That will reset the remote.

There are several toy ATMs on the market, none of them identifiable by manufacturer online. :( BUT, you MAY have an option, as some toy ATMs allow for you to access them if you lose the card by using ANY credit card, and then your toy's PIN. Sadly, these are not meant as anything more than a toy, so replacement parts are not available. They are a non-renewable item, and if they break, or lose parts, they become refuse. Such is the life of mass produced toys from china. I hope the credit card thing works for you. Otherwise, you will have to break the toy to extract your funds. ~M
