2 way viper lock light stopped working - how do i fix this?
It appears that the button is no longer making contact with the circuit board. There is pad underneath that may have shifted but, to repair is a pain and requires either a new shell or pad. It may be easier for you to purchase a new remote and program it to your system.
The alarm doesn't chirp and no flash of my
sounds like the alarm went into valet mode. that's usually what a solid blue light means on most viper alarms. check your owners manual on how to take the alarm out of valet mode. with the 5701 alarm its usually done with the remote. hope this helps
I think I messed up
If the led is solid blue when the key is out of the ignition that means your in valet mode. Which would disable the alarm, but not the starter. Simply turn key to IGN position then back to OFF.Push the valet button which is on the antenna next to the led and the led should turn off.Close door on vehicle and lock vehicle.Siren should now chirp.Cheers!!
Buying a car and the guy pulled out the viper
One has nothing to do with the other. The security system only interfaces with the starter wire. Just make sure the starter wire is reconnected and other than that its mechanical.
