I take help from online websites that have this service like helping in repair some like reliable-store have instant help.. others are a bit slow which I don't prefer... rest is up to u .. U can also get free manuals

I got this free Pdf manual from reliable-store for free and I don't think Ive visited a mechanic or fixya for help for more than 3-4 times out of the 20 times I fixed the chipper in these 4 years

Typically a car remote does not have to be reprogrammed to replace the battery. Check the car's owners manual to verify the battery is a CR1229. I don't know of any 1229 number but I do know a CR1220. Verify the number and you can buy them at just about any store...from Walmart on. Semper Fi, Z

This is most likely the key that is on your window. the contact may have come loose or slightly out of alignment. Try that first then take it back to the installer. I am sure they will get it working again without a fee.

You did not mention the year/make/model of your vehicle but, the issue appears to be the factory alarm. The installer failed to make the connection. If you intend to make the connection yourself I would need information pertaining to the vehicle. The (-) pulse before start wire for Prestige remote starters is black with a blue stripe. It is in a 4 pin connector at the module. This wire can be used to disarm the factory alarm before the remote start sequence.

The only 2 pin connector is for the transponder bypass module. These wires are for the following outputs 2 Pin Transponder Output Harness #1123292 1) Red Battery (+) 100mA 2) Black (-) Output While Running 100mA This connects your transponder key module to the starter, it activates the module when cranking to simulate a key. a: When selected for while remote start on, the Black wire will be active at the same time ign. 3 becomes active, and will remain active all the time the unit is operational under the control of the remote start. b: When selected for output during the start sequence, the Black wire will be active at the same time Ign. 3 becomes active, and will remain active until the vehicle has started. This would be difficult to give an accurate diagnosis without full details like:- what model alarm system or vehicle this is for! sounds like it might be the starter connection to the key switch is disconnected!

Ck. your battery or jump car and see how it starts if the same. you could have cable or connection problem. Could be a bad starter! or battery. Some auto part stores will check it for free.
