20 Most Recent NorStar M7100 Corded Phone Questions & Answers

Speak with your office manager or who ever is in charge of the phones, they deal with a tech or vendor that programs your phone system (not the phone itself directly). Chance are they restricted your phone.

Check to make sure that the phone line is plugged in tightly on both ends.

Time on that type of phone system is controlled by the administrator.
This guide may help if you have administrative access.

Try this:
Press "Feature (star) (star) T I M E"
and follow the display prompts.

An answering machine would have to be setup separate from the Norstar System. Install a jack for your Line 1 and connect the answering machine.

Programming is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 sets.
To set up ringing you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you wish to program ringing on. Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should sat LINE ACCESS
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display should say LINE ASSIGNMENT.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display ask for a line number. press list
The display should say line 001: appear & ring
press the Chng key till it says appear only press next key (lower right arrow)
The display should say line 002: appear & ring
repeat the procedure the same as line 001 for the remaining ringing lines

press the release key when finished

That looks like that sets freaking out. I'd unplug that one for 10 seconds and see if that corrects the problem. Also, did you try another set in its place to see if the display on the sets having the issue and not the port?

Unfortunately the 7100 doesn't have handsfree capability. M7208, T7208, M7310, T7316, and M7324's are able to though.

Your phone may have another mailbox associated with it, like the general delivery mailbox which can be mail box 100, try logging into 100 with default password of 0000. I am assuming you have 3 digit extension, if 2 digit login into mailbox 10.

Set System Time 1-Feature **TIME 2-Password: BASIC 3-Change time as prompted in the display

You are probably inadvertantly did a busy station signal to sta 24 and are still queued up to it. Call 24 AND have them ANSWER to clear it. You may have to do it multiple time as most systems will allow 8 stations in the queue

Does it light up? Does the speakerphone work? Have you swapped the cords and handsets?

I'm have trouble seeing through the internet and do not know what make or model you are referring to? Have you tried being ON THE HANDSET and then pressing the handsfree/speakerphone key?

Make sure its plugged in right.
