I would check my reversal valve and make sure the knob is on the number 5 on both sides first and check my air inlet for trash. Other then that I would tear it down and inspect the tool for any broken parts or grooved front and rear plates in the air motor. If it all looks good I would order a tune up kit with bearings and replace everything that they give you in the kit. IR 231-TK3

Start run capacitors wiring diagram for Ingersoll Rand T30 5HP
In a typical setup, start and run capacitors are not wired directly to each other. They serve different purposes in the motor circuit. Start capacitors are used to provide an extra boost of power to start the motor, while run capacitors help improve motor efficiency and performance during operation.
Here is a general wiring guideline for start and run capacitors:
- Start Capacitor: The start capacitor is usually connected in series with the motor's start winding. It helps provide an extra boost of power during motor startup. The wiring configuration typically involves connecting one lead of the start capacitor to the start winding, and the other lead to the common terminal or neutral connection.
- Run Capacitor: The run capacitor is typically connected in parallel with the motor's run winding. It helps improve motor efficiency and performance during operation. The wiring configuration usually involves connecting one lead of the run capacitor to the run winding, and the other lead to the common terminal or neutral connection.
It's important to consult the manufacturer's documentation, wiring diagram, or a qualified technician familiar with the specific model of your Ingersoll Rand T30 5HP compressor for the accurate wiring instructions. They will have the expertise to provide you with the precise wiring configuration and any specific considerations for your particular compressor model.
If you're unsure or uncomfortable with the wiring process, it's recommended to seek professional assistance from a qualified electrician or a technician experienced with motor wiring and compressor systems. They can ensure the wiring is done correctly and safely.
