well most home hardware ones all do that if used on anything hard/heavy timber.....if it is a heavy industrial one it may need anew spring.

Thanks for the link to the manual, fixyajohn. However, it wasn't clear on how to open it. However, the manual gave me the clue that it was simpler than one would anticipate when you first start grabbing at it. Just push in on the flat panel on the rear of the stapler. That disengages a little hook from the slot in the body. Then pull the released assembly downwards and finally rearwards out of the channel. Very simple. techmag's answer just doesn't apply to the T2025.
