usually there's just a very small (maybe 1 or 2mm) button that needs to be pressed (by maybe a ballpen). it might be under the camera or somewhere else that is not easy to mess with, since you don't really want to do a reset unless nothing else works for you. i don't think it's harmful though. goodluck!

If you formatted the card, you erased it...that's what format does.

Blame Microsoft updates. Try using a card reader instead...works every time.

Do you have iPhoto configured to ignore your camera?
You may also want to connect the camera, then open image capture.

if either of those will see/retrieve from your camera, then it's a good bet the Camera software needs to be updated.I hope this helps and good luck!

Hi,
You need to move the pictures from your camera to a computer and delete them from your camera. This wil free up your camera card again. I do this each time I have a picture taking session and it keeps my camera free of space for the next use, and also helps me to keep my pictures organized on the computer.
Another option is to take the card to Walmart and have them transfer the images to a CD for you.
Hope this helps...

For the SX 110 IS 9 mp camera: With the camera in picture taking mode, Hold the bottom of the roller dial down at the point closet to the timer icon. Hold it for a couple seconds, then the screen will display the timer settings. Select the setting you want and start taking pictures.

When selecting the custom timer, before hitting set, hit menu. This will allow you to select the delay from 1-30 seconds and select anywhere between 1-10 pictures. Just hit set to save the settings

Try removing and replacing batteries to reset the camera. Ensure that batteries are fully charged.

If that does not clear the problem, then the lens error is usually caused by mechanical faults concerning lens assembly. This happens because there is dirt inside the lens (sand dust), or one part in the lens assembly is bad or went out of place.
Because of this he lens cannot extend or retract fully, the error is detected and lens error is returned.

Sometimes this can be fixed playing with the lens during extraction or retraction to help the lens asset getting back to normal.
If if does not extend tapping gently the back of the camera, and if it does not retract helping lens back in while turning camera respectively on and off.

More often the camera lens must be disassembled and re-assembled by a technician to fix the problem.

Have you upgraded your flash card memory recently?
If so, it could be due to a larger/higher speed card in your camera. I've had this problem putting the latest and largest cards in my Canons. Solution is simple: get an extreme card reader and insert your card ...your computer will recognize this...
If this isn't your issue.... as Gilda Radner used to say, "NEVER MIND!"
