The machine won't start although
Black and Decker machines go through a slow warmup before they start kneading. That is normal. It takes a few minutes. If your machine hasn't started kneading within 30 mins. then you DO have a problem with it.
The liquids start leaking as soon as I put them in
If the leak isn't too bad in a pinch you can put all the dry ingredients except for the yeast and push start then start gently pouring in your liquid so that it is slowly absorbed once all the liquid is in add the yeast last. As long as your liquid doesn't puddle up that should work otherwise you'll need to get a new pan or a new machine. If you decide on a replacement machine let me know I have several for sale that are super nice. One is unused! thanks,
