Black & Decker B2300 Bread Machine - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Here is the recipe from the manual

3 cups of water (80 to 90 F)
3 tbsp butter or margarine, cut into pieces
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp dry milk powder
4 tbsp sugar
5 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/4 tsp active dry or bread machine yeast

1. Measure ingredients into bread pan in the order listed
2. Insert bread pan into unit, close lid. Plug unit into wall outlet
3. Select Sandwich setting and appropriate loaf size (3 lb)
4. Press start button
5. The Complete Signal will sound when bread is done.
6. Using pot holders remove bread pan from the unit and carefully remove bread from pan and turn right side up. (Kneading blade may remain in bread. Remove blade when bread is cooled.
7. Allow bread to cool on wire rack until ready to serve at least 20 minutes.

push the start/stop button until it beep (takes a few seconds before you her the beep) then choose the program you want. If that doesn't work unplug your machine and start over.

I'm very sorry you are having to deal with this issue. Unfortunately, there is no user serviceable parts. It seems that your key pad is failing/failed. The unit is 5 years old. You might try taking back to Walmart, their return policy is quite liberal otherwise, you will need to contact the manufacturer directly to see what the cost of repair would be. I hope this helped.

Sound like you need new shafts or paddles and I know the paddles can cost $30 each. so think about a new model or buy one at a thrift store and try those paddle or use the machine. I got a great one for $10 . :)

Total junk....first one lasted 2 loafs and one paddle completely strip it self....went and got another one on the first loaf it all ready is groaning and moaning,,,taking it back in the morning

Are you waiting for a few minutes for the loaf to cool down and shrink a little? Perhaps you have too much water in your recipe and not enough oil.The bread should never stick, unless you have been using a metal scouring pad on the inside of pan.Has it just started to stick? Contact manufacturer to get new pan. But also make sure you are putting the ingredients in, in the exact order in which they are given. Best wishes.

I have the same problem. Try using setting 2 and take out the dough ball before it starts baking. I tried number 1 but that didn't work either.

Try soaking it in olive oil overnight and apply some to the bottom, see if it frees up the paddles.

Call Black & Decker, it should still be under warranty. They will send you a new unit or even a new model if this version is notoriously bad, as was the case with my 2500 model. Their customer service is good if you are under warranty, just call and get it replaced.

Go look around on Black & Decker's website. You may be able to get what you need there.

Bit late in answering but have you tried a little veggie oil?

7 minutes before the end of the second knead.

It is Ok to push the dough to the middle with your hand just after the final punch down and before the final rise and bake.
