Hi Liz, don't throw it out yet. You may just have a broken or thrown drive belt. Most bread machines have a removable panel on the bottom of the machine. With your machine unplugge turn it on its side and using a screwdriver remove the bottom panel. You will see a belt running between a large pulley and a small one. Let me know if the belt that runs between the 2 pulleys has slipped off or is broken. We'll go from there. Bye for now!

I have the same problem. Try using setting 2 and take out the dough ball before it starts baking. I tried number 1 but that didn't work either.

Try soaking it in olive oil overnight and apply some to the bottom, see if it frees up the paddles.

Call Black & Decker, it should still be under warranty. They will send you a new unit or even a new model if this version is notoriously bad, as was the case with my 2500 model. Their customer service is good if you are under warranty, just call and get it replaced.

Go look around on Black & Decker's website. You may be able to get what you need there.

Bit late in answering but have you tried a little veggie oil?

It is Ok to push the dough to the middle with your hand just after the final punch down and before the final rise and bake.

Most bread machines do a little "punch down" before the final bake stage. The bake stage doesn't really begin until after the final 4-10 seconds of "punch down". Then the bake stage really begins and lasts about one hour.

If the bottom panel on your machine is removable take it off and see if the drive belt is broken. If it is get the code off of it STS S3M 471 ...etc. etc. ) and send it to me at my website breadmachineshelp.com
