The spark plug gap is 32...However some spark plug gauges are inaccurate.The round type with the tiny wires are more accurate than others...In any case whatever you use gap it between 30 and 34 it will be fine...But FYI when you buy the plugs they are pre gapped to fit your car...at times they are slightly out of gap because of dropping them while stocking shelves but when you buy them ask the salesman to gap them..Should be no problem...I hopes this helps...Brooks/Metalpoet......

My best advice is to buy the book at your local parts store! Usually the books run about $20 to $30 . Some of the Fords and any other manufactures have tried to make the engine compartment more appealing to the human eye. Meaning there is thing's in the way covers and what not!!!??? it's posted on the emissions decal affixed to the hood when opened. NGK plugs are strongly recommended and are pre-gapped. the spec is 1.0mm +/- 0.1mm or .035 to .040

U need to replace all plugs and wires to correct your problem

U need to remove the front motor mount then use a comealong tethered to a tree ratchet it until u get enough room to reach your goal wich is plugs and wires

check the timing... small adjustments can be made by turning the distributor... check fuel filters... partially clogged filters can allow enough fuel to pass to keep the engine running good untill more juel is needed for acceleration. double check that plug wires were put on in right order.
