Nailer wont advance the nails then it shoots blank

Try ez test to check for proper operation. Remove nails and air supply, point nose of gun up then down again. The driver should not move from the top of cylinder position. If driver is moving up then down replace the driver oring. If driver oring seems ok then connect air supply and bump fire the nailer without nails against soft wood and door open so that you can see the driver and feeder moving. Bump fire the gun and make sure that the driver is moving all the way back up to top of cylinder and the feeder is moving rapidly back and forward. If movement seems ok then hold the nose down on soft wood and depress and hold the trigger. This will fire the gun but driver will stay at the bottom position and not return until you release the trigger or lift the gun. When holding the gun with the driver down position, no air should leak out the top or bottom of the gun. If air leaks out bottom, replace lower bumper, if air leaks out the top replace the upper bumper. Good luck

Jam

I have noticed that some if not all brands are now using metal wire instead of copper to make coils. Metal wire is stiffer and does not bent down out of the path of the driver. If you are using coils welded together with metal wire (some wire looks copper collored, however when tested with magnet is found to be metal), and after firing a few nails, open side door and check if the leading wire is not bending down. Leading wire will not allow the nail the fully move into the path of the driver. Stiff wire will also cause the next nail in line to pull down slightly. When nail is pulled down slightly, it will be out of the path of the driver. The driver will hit the edge of the nail and cause it to flip. The nails can also flip if the feeder is not pushing the nails fully forward due to low pressure or weak spring or springs (some nailers have a spring pushing feed piston others use air). Finally, the feed piston or the body of the nailer where the feed piston is housed could be worn. With feed piston in forward position (normal) and the feeder claw removed, apply outword pressure to feeder with thumb checking for loose fit. The feeder shaft should not be loose nor move from side to side with thumb pressure. If shaft is loose then most likey lower body of gun worn with no repair. Good luck with you nailer.

Changeing coil nailer pressure seals

Easy to repair, www.toolpartsdirect.com for parts. Most likely problem/s are the parts within the head/headvalve. Remove four screws and gently pull out the headvalve piston within the head. One seal that contacts the cylinder and the upper bumper inside the headvalve. Push out the upper bumper and inspect for cracks. Order a spare because these parts fail often. No need to change out all the orings. Just clean and lube with white grease. Good luck

Worn trigger valve orings will cause gun to fire twice, and /or attempting to single fire nail with bump-fire trigger. Easy test, look closely at firing pin under trigger. It should fit snuggly an not move from side to side in valve. If loose, replace valve. If your nailer has bump-fire trigger, do no attempt to place gun then fire one shot because the gun will most likely double fire. Good luck.

Max cn50 nailgun cant seem to find out anything about it and need seals for it and may be a hammer can anyone help me please ???

Try looking for model # SCN50, or CN55. Both are coil nailers and both are discontinued, however, some seals from other brands will interchange(orings are usually not a problem, I use universal orings) . I have not heard of a cn50. Best way to find parts that will interchange is to go to a max dealer in your area and talk to a nailer tech. You could also make your own parts. I use a small lathe to make plastic parts for my own repairs. Good luck

Miss fires and wont sink nails depth set deep and pressure over 120 psi

If no air is leaking from gun, miss-fire is usually caused by worn or too tight piston oring or lack of lubrication. Easy test. Disconnect airline, remove nails, point nose of gun up then down. Driver should stay in uppermost position. If driver moves up then down within gun replace piston oring and retest. Set pressure to about 100psi. Good luck with repair.

When firing nailer first nail

Try oiling the tool first. Remove the nails, squirt a decent amount of air tool oil in the stem where the air hose coupler connects, and fire the tool a dozen times or so. Then put in the nails and test. If it still hangs up then it will need the o-rings replaced.

Plunger will not retract

plunger not retracting sounds like a quick lubing, or also as far as replacing the o-ring and gaskets.
