Hitachi NV75AG Coil Siding - Framing Nailer - Page 5 Questions & Answers
When you charge your battery
generally when charging the light will be red until a full charge is indicated and the light will turn green. if while trying to charge the light remains green I would try reinserting the battery or charging unit. If still the same you might have a problem with either.
I have a roof nailgun
It might need a simple valve reset. With air connected and nails removed, hit head against rubber pad or coiled rubber hose. Hit squarely so not to damage the head. It should reset. This usually happens when orings fit tightly or lack of lubrication. Good luck
My nail gun will only
it could be you are using the wrong nails, the gun should describe the correct angle and size.
I took apart and replaced
If orings fit too tight cylinder will not move against the headvalve seal (headvalve is the black rubber or vinyl seat in the head). To help the cylinder reset, bump the head against rubber matt. If the cylinder resets, good to go, if however the cylinder does not move into position, remove the head and check that cylinder moves up/down about 1/4 inch. If it does not move pull cylinder and use 400 grit sandpaper on cylinder where orings contact. Remove all scratches and reinstall. Good holidays
Hitachi nail gun,piston/nail push rod
You have one or more worn o-rings in the head of the gun. They direct the air to the proper parts of the gun to first drive the nail then to return the driver to the top of the gun for the next nail. Depending on the manufacturer and your model number, some companies make kits to replace the o-rings (always replace all of them). For some companies you have to get a breakdown of the gun and order each o-ring seperately.
Whats the cost to repair a hitachi coilnailer ?
depends on the problem, an o ring kit at a company I know is about 18.00 and if you do it yourself you save about 30.00 labor. But like I said it depends on what is wrong, if you can be more specific I can try and help
Nail gun is miss fireing
remove all the nails and remove the air hose. BUMP the tool on something and does the driver come down on its own if so it needs new o rings. also take a look at the feed pawl for a broken spring that would prevent it from feeding nails and lastly look at the coil of nails to make sure they pull freely. Let me know if you need more assistance.
I have a hitachi 2nd fix gas nailer and im not

Or for General maintence just 4 - 6 drops of oil every 3 - 4 week only if you use tool more then 3 times a week( 10,000 nails).Only on the fan assy O-rings.Remember this is only a guide. But if you need more info then try the hitachi web sit or your nearest nail gun repair agent.Good Luck
Oiling
Hi Andy,
If you're asking what to oil and when, here you go.
Every day before using it, oil the hammer and slide mechanism. Also put several drops into the hose connector. This extends the life of the seals. You should use a light machine oil.
Hope you find this to very helpful

Hitachi model 83A2 - nail is 1/8
there is an adjustment on the front of the tool for the depth of the nail, make sure it is set for the wood being used. If it is then you might have a problem with the o ring being dry and not allowing the piston to fully insert the nail. Let me know and I will try and help further.
Belt sander keeps breaking the belt
by belt do you mean the sanding belt and if so are the belts you are using directional?? If they are there is an arrow inside them to indicate direction of rotation. Also check the wear plate for sharp edges that can cut the belt. Let me know if you need more help
