You have a short related to the clutch or the clutch is shorted internally. Check all your wiring related to the clutch. Ohm out the clutch.

there will be one under the seat and if you have to lift a lever to engage the blades there may be one under that

check your spindels on the mower deck sounds like they are going bad if you dont fix it it will overheat the engine .

The "C" clip holds the hub on the axle. No it is not a press fit.

The washers go on, then the sleeve, the "C" clip holds it all on the axle.

the noumber you saw on the body of the mower should be it go on lne LT 1000 17.5 ic ohv and see what comes up you may find it that way i hope>

It may be that the gas cap no longer vents, allowing air to enter the tank as gas is being used. Try to have cap loose to see it it is the problem, and if it is, a very small hole on cap needs to be opened or made.

the best advice i can give is to make sure those bolts are tight and have a lock washer on them if it keeps happening go to a profor advise never hsad that problem

The alternator is built into the starter. Check with a volt meter to see if you have at least +13v while mower engine is running. Could be a bad battery.

ground the spark plug to the engine block it should spark. sounds like you need to check the valves and push rods

Try cleaning your gas cap vent. It sounds like it may be partially plugged. If it is plugged, the engine will eventually stall.

first check for spark/ no spark, replace coil/ have spark/pull the fuel line off at carb and let flow into gas can, see if it keeps flows then slows/ replace fuel filter OR clean gas tank, it might have a filter in the tank also. a jumper wire can be used to excite the fuel shut off solenoid on the carburetor if so equipped. also scotch lock can be used to bypass seat and clutch saftey switches for testing/diagnostic troubleshooting purposes. let me know how you do

resecure the dipstick tube fill with oil and restart motor and observe tube at seat for any leaks and listen to motor making sure no internal damage was done if no issues your good to go

The blade bolt can be very difficult to remove sometimes and will require an impact wrench. If that doesn't work, you will need to heat up the nut only with a Ox/Acetylene torch, then it will remove easily. Do not heat the nut too much or it will ruin the thread on the spindle when it comes off. Remember to heat the nut only.

happens unless you check blades for turning before starting up for the season.. also garage the mower during off season.
