Yes - inspect the sprocket gear (KEY NO. - 11) pn 111363-01 new pn 122520-01 NLA, is it deeply grooved or perhaps worn through?
I'm going to get smacked as I have so many times before. The only thing RemingtonPower is producing today is unhappy customers. Replacement parts are exhausted. we aren't affiliated and had nothing to do with their decision to stop production.
Burrs on the chain or a defective sprocket are the most likely causes of your problem. If the gear is bad, there are no replacement parts available and I cannot help you further except to recommend you purchase a name brand replacement. Select a company you think will have replacement parts when you need them sometime in the future.
Chain adjustment
- Make sure the chain brake is off (gloves will protest your fingers).
- If necessary, loosen the bar nuts that are clamping the clutch cover in place (or whatever holds the clutch cover and bar on). They don't need these really loose - finger tight will do.
- Ease the tension adjustment until the chain is obviously loose.
- Using one hand, hold the nose of the bar up.
- While holding the nose up, adjust the tensioner so that the center of the chain just touches the underside of the bar, add a touch more.
- Continue holding the nose of the bar up & tighten up the bar nuts / bolts / quick-release system.
Your rating of our help is the only payment we get for this service. I provided as much help as humanly possible. Punishing me for your disappointment with RemingtonPower isn't fair to me. I hope I answered your question. Thanks. A few kind words would be appreciated.
