Cannot reassemble brake band assembly to clutch drum

The brake was engaged when removed. The Illustrated Parts List (IPL) here shows how the majority of components fit together. The brake needs to be released to clear the clutch drum.
Secure the clutch cover (it requires quite a bit of force), with a couple of blocks of wood, in a large vise or a C-clamp on a work surface.

Use a pair of pliers or a crescent and rotate the spoked part CW until it latches. This one is latched.

Crank shaft--335xpt --1997 overhandle pruning

Hi axemanal,

I did a google search for - Husqvarna 335XPT, "used crankcase"

and came up with serveral sites, such as ebay, trade me and the following: http://store.chainsawr.com/collections/Husqvarna?page=31

You can try this one. It advertises used Husqvarna parts. If they don't have anything for you, try the google search as above.
Good luck!

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

I have a Huski 20"

Hi, assuming you have put fresh two stroke mix in the saw, it will need to have a carby diaphragm kit fitted. It's not hard to do yourself as long as you fit the new diaphragms and gasket in the exact same positions as the old ones. The reason for your problem is that the old diaphragms go hard and no longer flex due to stale fuel being left in the carby. You may also want to replace the fuel filter in the tank. Regards Phil.

How do you set the chain tension on a 345e?

The E version is tooless, so flip out the wing in the centre of the big cover fixing nut, slacken the nut off half a turn, now turn the knurled adjuster in the side cover, down to tighten, up to slacken, there are many schools of thought about the correct tention of the chain, but basically the chain should sit snuggly all round the guide bar, and with a gloved hand pull manually around the bar with out too much force, it should never sag on the bottom of the guide bar.

Hi,

You can find your model number at the same spot that the serial number and brand name are. You have to know the model to get parts.

Here are a couple of sites I like to order parts from for mine.

I have no spak done the plug i think its the coile

Before replacing the ignition unit, disconnect the earth cut out wire fron the unit, this will rule out a fault with the switch and the wiring, check the air gap between the unit and the flywheel this should be 0.3mm, if still no spark unfortunatley it will require a new unit.

Husky 365 ihave just put

make sure you clean your bar while chain is off..take a feeler gauge like .040 or so the bigger the better and slide it through the grove in the bar all the way around and pull all the crud out then make sure your oil holes in bar are cleaned out so oil will run through the holes into the groove in bar, also if you have an end sprocket in bar make sure it spins freely with chain off, could of been pinched one time or another along with bar, thats why you use a feeler gage to check out bar for being pinched while you are cleaning it out. good luck

372 husky oiler doesnt work

It uses a vacuum style suction method to pull oil from the reservoir to the chain bar. There is about a 3 inch piece of small black hose that gets pinched or broken and stops the oil flow. Most of time you can replace the hose without too much difficulty if you have a pair of long nose needle nose pliers. You can get the hose at your Husqvarna dealer or a hardware store that does small engine repair.
