If debris has been entering tool over time, the vaines will not make good contact to cyl. wall. Flush out gun with kerosine or diesel fuel to clean interior of the gun. If dirty, the first flush will be very dark and every flush after that will become more clear. After good cleaning/flush, add tool oil and retest tool. If tool begins to hit but not full power, you may have to open tool and remove scratches from the vaines. Make sure that you use the largest quick connect fitting possible. Sometimes the tool will loose power if you are using 1/4 inch connections and the vanes are not in good shape. Good luck

The biggest problem I have seen with these is the hammer mechanism.Remove the front of the tool and disassemble hammers.Clean them good with solvent and using a paint brush re coat then with a special hammer grease that can be purchased at a local tool repair and supply store. Also check fwd and reverse seals while you have it apart.Check motor veins for wear.Check inlet screen and exhaust for debris.

Turns slow and no torque
Take some contact cleaner and spray it in the air intake couplin and then plug it into you air line and pull the trigger.be careful not to get sprayed in the face.do this a couple of times them do the same thing with tool oil . if it is dirty most of the time this will solve the trouble.

How do I remove pneumatic staples from furniture.
try a large pair of pliers.
straighten the staples as much as you can, grip one leg with the pliers about 1/8" from the wood, and tap the pliers with a mallet or wood block.
alternate "till you can grip the crown.
